Leather is that faithful friend and material that we find everywhere. This material is present in our clothes, shoes, accessories, and even in the furniture of the places we visited such as cafes, lounges, stores, home, etc. There are countless pieces such as the Egg chair (which we will talk about in the next blog) that are upholstered on it and that tend to bring some curiosity to most people since not all of them look the same.

You may wonder why, and the answer is that not all leathers have the same properties or go through the same processes. Currently there are about 5 types of leather and today we will talk about the most frequent one and we will show you how it looks through a piece of iconic furniture in the world of design. Let us begin!

Aniline leather

Aniline leather is one of the leathers that looks more natural since it even has certain stains typical of the original leather. According to Wikipedia this is “a type of leather dyed exclusively with soluble dyes. The dye colors the leather without producing the uniform surface of a topcoat paint ”.

So as you can see, its appearance is due to the process it goes through.
