Barcelona. This is the name of one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and is the name too of one of the most famous Design furniture collections ever: the Barcelona Collection of L. Mies van der Rohe.

The Barcelona Collection was developed in 1929 by Mies van der Rohe as part of the German Pavilion of the International Exposition of Barcelona. The collection is made up of the Barcelona Chair ; Barcelona Bench; Barcelona Table and Barcelona Ottoman. The Barcelona Chair is extended to the Barcelona Loveseat (2 seats), and the Barcelona Sofa (3 seats).

Since that day, the name of Barcelona was attached to the collection. On the other hand, over time, the city of Barcelona became one of the European most cosmopolitan cities and is now a reference in fashion, design, and architecture.
